Masonry Fixings

A light duty fixing for jobs where speed of installation is important. Hammer fixings work in a similar way to screws and plugs, the hammer fixing screw has a special thread that can be hammered into the plug and loosened / screwed out if required. Installation: Pre-drill a 5mm pilot hole through the item that you're fixing and into the masonry or brickwork. Lightly tap the fixing through the pilot hole with a hammer until the plug is flush. EG. if you're fixing a timber wall plate, the plug fits inside the timber as well as the wall. Once the plug is flush with the timber, hit the head of the screw harder to drive it into the plastic sleeve until tight. Minimum fixing depth: 45mm

Red plastic plugs, fix into concrete, brick and masonry by drilling a 5.5mm hole, suitable for use with woodscrews. - Red wall plugs are suitable for No.6 - No.10 (3.5mm - 5.0mm) screws. - Plug Length: 30mm - Use a 5.5mm masonry drill bit

Brown plastic plugs, fix into concrete, brick and masonry by drilling a 7.0mm hole, suitable for use with woodscrews. - Brown plugs are suitable for No.8 - No.12 (4.0mm - 6.0mm) screws - Plug Length: 36mm - Use a 7.0mm masonry drill bit
